The Voice of New Jersey Medical Transportation |
The Medical Transportation Association of New Jersey (MTANJ) is the representative voice of the medical transportation industry in the State. Covering almost forty-five percent of all licensed vehicles in the state, the MTANJ is a 501(c)(6) trade association that represents private companies, hospital-based providers, municipal third services, and nonprofit agencies.
The MTANJ serves as an advocate for the ethical provision of service through sound business and fiscal practices.
The MTANJ represents the interest and concerns of the industry relative to regulations, legislative and reimbursement issues. The MTANJ encourages involvement of all agencies and interested parties to the medical transportation industry and works to develop positive relationships with those parties. The MTANJ is committed to addressing the concerns of the industry by providing advocacy, support and representation.
The MTANJ began in August 1976 when industry leaders realized that it was only through unity that they could improve medical transportation reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. Later, as the industry matured, the Association began to address operational issues for all levels of medical transportation. The MTANJ has been involved in advocacy since its inception and has had significant success in obtaining better reimbursement, fair legislation, and more realistic regulations that benefited all New Jersey providers.
In addition to the reimbursement, regulations, and legislative advocacy, members benefit from access to:
The MTANJ asks that members give back to the Association by participating on active committees such as Legislative, Medicare, Medicaid/Medicaid Broker, Membership Development and Services, and Conference Planning. It is through the insight, ideas, and needs of the membership that the MTANJ looks to the future.
As a member of the MTANJ, you have a voice in and are part of an association that works to improve the future of medical transportation, the organizations in New Jersey that provide these essential services, and the people they serve. If you are not a member, consider joining the MTANJ to receive the full benefits of membership.
